Macushield Gold helps maintain normal vision by combining mesozeaxanthin with well-researched eye vitamins, minerals and carotenoids.

MacuShield^® Gold provides a MacuShield^® Original formulation with additional vitamins and minerals.

Scientific research shows that the three nutrients; meso-zeaxanthin, lutein and zeaxanthin are found at the back of the eye, at the macula, where they form the macular pigment (yellow colour). Meso-zeaxanthin is particularly concentrated at the centre of this pigment.

Lutein and zeaxanthin can be found in fruits and vegetables and meso-zeaxanthin is present in some species of fish and seafood. The macular carotenoids in MacuShield^® Gold are obtained from marigolds (Tagetes Erecta), specifically grown for this purpose.

MacuShield^® Gold combines these three macular carotenoids in a formula containing meso-zeaxanthin, zinc to help maintain normal vision, copper, vitamin C and vitamin E, which contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.

MacuShield^® Gold is a three-a-day product. The 3 capsules can be taken together, or separately throughout the day but we always recommend taking them with a meal.
